These are a few of my favorite things: March 2015
1. Hard Candy Life - City Chic Poppin Pigments - Love when eyes pop with pigments
2. NYXcosmetics - Slim Lip Pencils "Mahogany" and "Soft Brown", perfect for day and night!
3. Glam up your brunch with Glitter Donuts! With just the look of these I am seriously considering a brunch wedding.
4. Color Luxe Fine Tip Gel Pens - I found these at Pigment in North Park and haven't written anything down in black ever since. Life's more fun in color :)
5. Instagram: moonlndjmpr - Slyoung Kim is a wonderfully talented artist with a great eye for details
Movie Theme Engagement Shoots
Alright, that's it...I'm officially obsessed. No really, cause this is right up my alley! I am a huge movie buff and where some of my favorite movies wouldn't necessarily fall into a romantic set like these, I'm sure i could watch some more films in the romantic genre.
Check out some of my favorites below and catch the entire slideshow over at Tres Sugar for some more cinematic ideas! What are some of your favorite movies you would turn into an engagement shoot?

Wedding Fashion
It's wedding season - And who doesn't love a good wedding! It's a celebration of love, friendship, and family...not to mention the good food and dancing!
Here are some of my favorite wedding attendee fashions I've spotted this spring and summer for all kinds of ceremonies, whether lavish or casual. Some prices are out there, but I hopefully they will inspire you to find something similar! There are always copycats out there that are much more affordable...
1. Modcloth
2. REISS - Look familiar? Kate Middleton wore it recently to meet the Obama's
3. H&M
4. Adam
5. Topshop
7. Lanvin
8. Houseofraser
10. Moschino
11. People TreeErica Ewing Photography
She's like a long lost friend you feel like you've always known, someone you trust to bring her full attention to your needs as the client, while being the listener and idealistic photographer that makes your experience comfortable, fun and creative. When you get a mix like that, you know you'll get exactly what you want.
You can check out more of Erica Ewing Photography here or sneak peeks of growing portfolio on her new blog! Beautiful work and I can't wait to see more throughout the busy summer wedding season!
Cute as a button...
Buttons...they are so funny to me, because they are on everything, but I can never seem to find one when I need it! I always lose those little baggies when buying clothes that come with extra buttons. But with these adorable DIY projects below, I'll be sure to keep them in a safe place for creating!

It's a perfect DIY project, all you need is a canvas, some paint, glue and buttons! What a quick way to create something wonderful to hang by the entry way or just to cover that hole in the wall!

A wedding or event table number - you could really spruce these up in pretty frames!

Now this pillow is actually made by Peggy from Letter Perfect Designs on Etsy. You can certainly sew this together with any kind of buttons you like, but she has great monogram items in her store!

This cake featured on Style Me Pretty is simple and creative, using decorative metal buttons! I love the coloring of this wedding - pink and grey!

I must mention I am in love with these orange and coral colors going on here - sooooo pretty :)
All you need is some colorful tissue paper and 24-gauge white cloth-covered floral wire, and you are in business! Maybeee just don't advise Martha help you in that department...

Hanging Pom-Poms
1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.

2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging.

Napkin Rings
With just a few changes, these follow the same steps as the hanging pom-poms.

1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds.
2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure.
It's all in the Presentation
It's true right? Now a days you just throw cookies on a plate and throw them on the table...but I am all for bringing the art of the presentation back into play! Now I'm not talking about the placement of a carrot with a cube of meat on a 10 ft plate...that is not presentation to me, that is torture at its best - I'm not paying big bucks for that kind of nonsense and starvation. But the actual art of presenting the hard work you put into your delightful creations...the way they deserve to be creatively displayed.
So if you are looking for some cute presentation ideas for your next party or special event, look no further...
