Wikipedia states the definition of a Stairway as a construction designed to bridge a large vertical distance by dividing it into smaller vertical distances, called steps. Stairways may be straight, round, or may consist of two or more straight pieces connected at angles.
Or in the following cases: consists of slides, magic hovering, storage, dizzy spells, and are just downright creative! There are a few examples that I would crash on the floor after a night out rather than losing my life trying to reach the second floor, but are still spectacularly designed :)
